What is Chromotherapy?
Chromotherapy is a type of light therapy that uses visible light. This type of light therapy is used to help alter one’s mood as well as improve their health.

- Has anti-aging and skin healing effects
How does it work?
The way Chromotherapy works is by using the different colour’s light frequencies to achieve the desired result, with different colours manifesting different responses in both the mind and body. This is practiced through the application of visible light on the colour spectrum to the body. Light is energy that radiates from light “waves”, where each colour has a different wavelength that has a different impact on the body.
The importance of light for both physical and mental health can be seen in how we need sunlight to thrive. It’s an important part of living a healthy life, improving not only the healing of the skin, the appearance and rejuvenation of the skin, but also the production of serotonin, melatonin, and vitamin D, to regulate one’s mood and sleep patterns. Sunlight is made up of all the colours on the light spectrum to create a “white” light, so it makes sense to target specific colours on the light spectrum to get the tailored benefits.
