Strand Fitness is excited to welcome Personal Trainer Ivy to it’s Fitness Family.  Ivy runs her own Personal Training business  Ivy Fitness right here at Strand Fitness CBD.

Full Name: Ivy Villar

I have been working in the fitness industry since 2016 within mining, I am very passionate with helping people to live a better and healthier lifestyle and striving for their goals. I’m very self-motivated with a positive outlook on life and truly believe everyone can be their own Inspiration.

  • Certificate III in Fitness
  • Certificate IV in Fitness
  • Pad Masters Certificate
  • First Aid & CPR

Weight Training, Small Group Training, Boxercise, HIIT, Stretching, Mobility & Mindset 

About me

Hi, my name is Ivy, also known as Ives.I would say I have a fun bubbly personality, none judgmental a very caring nature towards every aspect of life. I always look at the positive in any negative situation. I’m a big believer in creating the best life you can live as you are in charge of it. Making the most of everything you have and being grateful for who you are. 

Why the Fitness Industry?

I started my fitness journey in my early 20’s when I was overweight and didn’t live a very health active lifestyle. It got to a point where I was over feeling sluggish, tired and not happy with my overall appearance. So I bit the bullet and joined up to a gym and paired up with an amazing PT that I’m still friends with to this day. As I started seeing results, becoming more confident within myself I wanted to work in the fitness industry to help people build the best version of themselves

What is your Favorite movie or book?

I’m a bit of a romantic and love all the famous love movies, The Notebook – The Best of Me – P.S I Love You – Dirty Dancing.

Are you a cat or a dog person?

Dog person but then again I love all animals. I have worked as a Vet Nurse and Dog Groomer.

What is your favorite activity/hobby?

I love getting out on the boat with my partner and our fur baby. Also going camping and exploring new places. I have only lived in Townsville since May and I am absolutely loving it here and the beautiful surrounding places.

 

What can your clients expect training/ dealing with you?
  • Education to help perform exercises, as this is essential in reducing the risk of injury.
  • Essentials to achieving their fitness goals
  • Focused and also fun sessions.
  • Very friendly and approachable
  • Always there to help if they are wanting to try something different
  • Help them stay on track and strive towards their limits.
  • Help them be accountable to stay on track
What is your current goal/ or what is on your bucket list?

I’m currently prepping for season A in the ICN federation. I will be competing in class Figure and super excited to build the best rig to bring on to stage.

 In 2018 I competed in season A & B in the Sports Model and Fitness model category and absolutely loved every step of the way.
