Why Should You Give CrossFit Workout A Go?

CrossFit Workout

What is CrossFit Workout?

CrossFit is a lifestyle that features safe, effective exercise, and healthy nutrition. CrossFit can be used to achieve any goal, from health enhancement to weight loss to better performance. The program works for everybody. From people just starting out and people who’ve been training for years.

There is a lot of misunderstanding about CrossFit Workouts amongst the Fitness Industry. People think it’s dangerous, exclusive to the elite athlete, or just too scary.

Well, that’s where we can tell you you’re wrong.

The majority of this misconception of CrossFit comes largely from a misunderstanding, or no knowledge at all, of what CrossFit is. So that’s where we will start.

What CrossFit Workout Really Is

CrossFit Workout

CrossFit is essentially a strength and conditioning program, designed around constantly varied, functional movement executed at a high intensity.

What does this mean? It means you won’t use machine weights; your body becomes your sole machine for moving weights. It means you won’t get stuck in a routine of doing similar programming week in and week out, meaning you’ll never get bored, and more importantly, your body never gets bored! It also means you will push yourself through mental barriers and do things you never thought you’d achieve in the gym, whether you’re climbing up a 20-foot high rope, or lifting your body weight on a barbell overhead, it’s all possible, and we see regular people do it every day.

I could talk about CrossFit all day, but the best way for you to learn about it is to come down and try it. So to promote CrossFit to those who might be little taken back by the idea, this is for you. We run a beginners ‘On-Ramp’  program, designed to teach you techniques, lingo and scaling options, so when you join into the main class, you feel at home and know you can get the best workout possible. I want you to come down and try an On-Ramp Class with me at Strand CrossFit, for no charge, no long term commitment and see what we’re all about.

Give me a call, send me an email, or just come down one afternoon for a chat.
