Hit The Hill! – A Strand Fitness Suicide Prevention Movement

Suicide Prevention Movement: Hit the Hill supports those in our community impacted by mental health. Above all, it calls for a 24-hour suicide prevention walk.

The Community

The Strand Fitness Family believes in locals supporting locals. Therefore, Strand Fitness CBD and North Shore. In addition to Strand Crossfit and CrossFit Tropics have put together Teams of Ten taking part in this event! The event takes place from August 11th to 12th at Castle Hill. You will be walking (with us) up and down the hill to gather support for our local community. The registration fee is raised to support Mates4Mates. The organisation supports current and ex-serving members of the Australian Defence Force. Moreover, Mates4Mates supports families in which who are wounded, injured or ill as a result of their service. 

Strand Fitness’ Suicide Prevention Movement

For every suicide, there are many more people who attempt suicide every year. As well as the obvious impact this has for an individual and their friends, and families, this also has a societal cost. suicide is a very complex phenomenon, suicide prevention requires collaboration and different integrated and comprehensive approaches. Suicide is everybody’s business and we are taking a step to help those in need!
