We can’t really say ‘Welcome to the Team’ as Deb and Dani have been with Strand Fitness for 4 years now and love the inviting, friendly environment.

”The facilities are great for what we offer in our business along with the best group fitness classes in Townsville!” 

However, more recently the Mother-Daughter duo have started their very own Personal Training business within Strand Fitness.

We believe the passion within the industry is what makes us good at what we do. We love nothing more than to see our clients get the results they want and to feel better within themselves! No session with us will be the same, there are always new challenges and obstacles to overcome. We create a relationship and community within the groups or pairs we train in order to generate more motivation, regular attendance and help kick your fitness goals fast!

PREFERRED TRAINING STYLE

We offer every style of training, however, we specialise more regularly in small group training as a High Intensity Interval Training session (HIIT) using functional moves and equipment such as

  • Battle Ropes
  • Tyres
  • Medicine Balls
  • Kettlebells

We also have pairs and one on one clients for each individual reason and have clients in which we alter our style, depending on their needs and fitness goals.  

Every session is fun yet challenging for you!

WHY HIIT?

HIIT triggers a release of human growth hormone and testosterone, both of which play a key role in metabolising fat. By working anaerobically (without oxygen for fuel) you produce lactic acid, which releases adrenaline, helping to move fat around the body.

Unlike steady-state cardio, the magic of HIIT takes place after your session, you burn for up to 24 hours after. For optimum results during your HIIT session, you need to work at 90-100% effort for 15-30 seconds.

ABOUT US

We have a great relationship between us, we often like shopping together, having a quiet drink or general chit chat regularly. The fact we share the same interests makes our mother-daughter bond pretty great! We also find by working together we can suit different age groups and preferences of training such as over 50’s and over 20’s.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Both of us are Certified Personal Trainers
  • Deb has over 20 years’ experience in the industry & Dani over 8 years
  • We have a number of group fitness qualifications, such as Body Combat, Body Attack, MetaPWR, Boxing etc.
  • Both of us coach classes at our CBD and North Shore location!
