Do you have little ones with energy to burn? Don’t have a babysitter or anyone to look after the kids while you workout? Bring your little ones in with you! We love having them as much as we love having you. Our certified Creche staff will ensure that while you are getting your sweat on, the kids are keeping busy with plenty of activities in a safe and supervised environment. Suitable for ages 6 weeks to 12 years old.
We believe that it is never to early to learn about healthy lifestyle choices, which is why we offer our Kids Fit health and fitness program. The latest training techniques are used to ensure that the kids enjoy a variety of structured and unstructured activities. There are so many benefits of these activities including the reduced risk of obesity, increased cardiovascular fitness, improved coordination and balance and improved social skills.
24 Hour Access
At Strand Fitness, we know how important work-life balance is. We also know that everyone has different training preferences, whether it is during the middle of the night or on your lunch break. That is why both of our facilities offer 24hr access, so that you can make the most of your training.
We all need a little help sometimes, whether we’re just starting out or we’ve been at it for a long time. If you don’t know where to start, you’re bored with the same old workouts, you need to be challenged, you want to learn how to exercise on your own, you need accountability and motivation or you are training for a sport or an event, come have a chat and we will work out a personalised program for you.

If you’ve taken a class at Strand Fitness, you know that great things happen in groups. Our group fitness classes are designed for all fitness levels and there are plenty of options to choose from! In addition to more traditional offerings, there are also a range of new classes so that you can add more dynamic to your workout. Whether you want to channel your inner relaxation with our variety of yoga classes including specialised Hot Yoga, or you want to get your heart rate up with Les Mills Grit class or anywhere in between, there is something for everyone. All of our talented instructors are certified to meet the highest standards and to help you see results in weight management, cardiovascular health and muscle development.
Shut out the world, get centered and deepen your practice. Strand Fitness North Shore is also the home of the only Yoga & Pilates Studio in the Northern Beaches; the Townsville Yoga Hub. There are a variety of Yoga & Pilates classes available to suit everyone. We love all of the health benefits of Hot Yoga, including detoxification (heavy sweating is said to help flush toxins from the skin), improved breathing, and an elevated heart rate which makes the body work harder. It also helps focus the mind which develops better mental concentration. The secret to Hot Yoga is to embrace the sweat.
